French Schools in Morocco Face Parent Backlash Over Distance Learning and Tuition Fees

The group of associations of parents of students in French educational institutions in Morocco (APEK, API, CAPE, PEEP) demands from the Agency for French Education Abroad a "negotiated" invoice, rejecting the maintenance of third-quarter tuition fees unchanged. This is revealed by a survey evaluating distance learning since the beginning of confinement.
This survey, carried out on a representative sample (more than 27% of parents), indicates that less than 3% of these parents say that the distance education provided by these establishments is "effective". Conversely, 33% of them consider this education to be "not very effective".
The group of associations of parents of students in French educational institutions in Morocco also approves the revision of the financial contract. It specifies the obligations of the parties as well as the modalities of e-learning which will now be applicable.
Among the main demands of the parents are, among other things, the freezing of tuition fee increases for the next three years, a harmonization and upgrading of distance learning.
