French Printing Entrepreneur Found Dead in Marrakech Apartment

Jacques-Paul Géhan died on Sunday, January 12, in Morocco. The lifeless body of the printer was found in his apartment in Marrakech.
While he was staying in Marrakech as usual, the printer Jaques-Paul Géhan, alias Jacky, died at the age of 64, reports Sud Ouest. A heart attack would be the cause of his death, according to his family.
Jacky Géhan was a famous entrepreneur in Parthenay (Deux-Sèvres). In the 1980s, he had taken over the Géhan printing company, founded by his parents in 1963, following the acquisition of the Trenit company.
He knew his heyday until the early 2000s. With the advent of digital technology, the company struggled to keep up with the competition from online printers. Business declined, and Jacky Géhan decided to quit in March 2015.
The deceased had dedicated his life to printing and the press. With his wife, Olga Géhan, he had taken over a press depot. As the store became too small, they had moved to the entrance of rue Jean-Jaurès and created La Maison de la presse. From then on, the couple had invested in book sales and school stationery.
