French Natural Ingredients Giant Nexira Expands to Morocco, Taps into Rich Botanical Market

Morocco welcomes Nexira, a French trader globally recognized for natural and innovative ingredients for the food industries. Established in Fez, this subsidiary was set up in partnership with the Moroccan Challenge Investment.
Caralia is the name of the company that will now allow Moroccans to supply aromatic and medicinal plants on behalf of the parent company based in Rouen, France. According to challenge.ma, more than 4,200 identified species of aromatic and medicinal plants (including 800 endemic) are found in Morocco. They are used in cooking, herbal medicine and cosmetics.
The Nexira group has existed since 1895. It is a family business with 7 production sites worldwide, including 5 in France (Rouen, Serqueux, Lamothe-Montravel, Bram, Corbie) and about ten subsidiaries around the world, the main one being in the United States, the same source specifies.
