French Muslim Policewoman Faces Dismissal Over Pro-Palestine Facebook Post

A policewoman from Le Raincy in Seine-Saint-Denis is facing dismissal for a post hostile to Israel, and for severely criticizing French policy in the Middle East. "Palestine will live, Palestine will prevail, inshallah," she had posted.
This 44-year-old Muslim woman, who holds the rank of brigadier, is one of 106 police officers suspected of radicalization. Before the disciplinary commission of the Paris police prefecture, she admitted the facts and apologized. "But she has never engaged in proselytism and has never praised Daesh or Al-Qaeda," emphasizes her lawyer, Me Achour.
He says he is disappointed to see that a case that had been dormant since 2015 at the police prefecture has been dug up. The lawyer questions the issue of freedom of expression in the private sphere. The Minister of the Interior must now rule on this case. The decision should be made within 4 to 6 months.
