The start and end dates of Ramadan in France will be officially announced tomorrow, Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at the Great Mosque of Paris.
The Muslims of France will be informed on Tuesday about the start and end dates of Ramadan. The Great Mosque of Paris has, in a press release, announced the holding of a meeting this Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 6 pm for the solemn announcement of the beginning of the month of Ramadan.
Last week, the Muslim Theological Council of France (CTMF), the French Council of the Muslim Faith (CFCM) chaired by the Union of Mosques of France (UMF) and the Coordination Committee of Turkish Muslims of France (CCMTF) each announced the first day of the month of Ramadan for Thursday, March 23, 2023.
"In accordance with scientific data, the conjunction of the new moon of Ramadan 1444H will take place on March 21, 2023 at 6:23:09 pm (Paris time). According to the criteria adopted by the CFCM in 2013, the visibility of the new moon will only be possible on March 22, 2023," the organization said, adding that "Thursday, March 23, 2023 is (therefore) the first day of Ramadan of the year 1444H," the Muslim organization announced.
