New French International School Opens in Casablanca’s Casa-Anfa District

A new French high school has opened in Casa-Anfa: the Lycée Français International Alphonse Daudet, an establishment of the Mlfmonde network and the Office scolaire et universitaire International (OSUI).
The inauguration ceremony of the Lycée Français International Alphonse Daudet took place on Friday in Casablanca, in the presence of its godmother Claudie Haigneré, the first European astronaut and former French minister, and the French ambassador to Morocco, Christophe Lecourtier, reports the MAP. Built on a two-hectare site in the heart of Casa-Anfa, this campus has 950 students, with a capacity of 2,000 places. The establishment includes what are described as exceptional facilities: modular classrooms, a FabLab, science laboratories, a semi-Olympic swimming pool and green spaces, etc.
The high school offers English learning from preschool: 50% of the timetable will be taught in English from the 2025 school year. It prepares its students for French diplomas such as the Diplôme national du Brevet (DNB) and the French Baccalauréat and its International Option (BFI), with bi-, tri- and quadrilingual tracks. The establishment also offers certifications in foreign languages (Cambridge English, CIMA, DELE) and digital skills (PIX), as well as interdisciplinary projects and a variety of extracurricular activities.
"This new campus perfectly illustrates our educational vision: to support each student in a path of excellence, while promoting the values of interculturality and multilingualism. It is an ideal setting to train the citizens of tomorrow," said Sophie Churlet, head of the establishment and coordinator of the OSUI network in Morocco, in a statement to the press. "This project reflects our ambition to make the LFIAD a benchmark in education. We have imagined a space that, beyond teaching, offers each student the opportunity to build, flourish and project themselves into the future," said Jean-Marc Merriaux, Managing Director of OSUI-Mlfmonde.
The relocation of the establishment, previously located in Ain Sebaa since its opening in 2017, marks a new era in its development, the high school notes in a press release, noting that this modern and ambitious site embodies the educational excellence and pedagogical innovation, fundamental pillars of the Mlfmonde network for more than 120 years.
