France Requires Negative COVID-19 Test for Travelers from Morocco

New health measures will be applied to passengers from high-risk countries, including Morocco. This measure, which also takes into account both flights and sea crossings, takes effect from this Wednesday, November 11.
Since the discovery at Paris airport of two Moroccan passengers who tested positive for the coronavirus, special flights from the Kingdom are subject to restrictions. From November 11, France requires a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours for passengers from Morocco. This applies to European citizens, foreign residents and travelers holding a residence visa.
This decision was confirmed by the French Embassy in Morocco on Twitter. The diplomatic representation specifies that both flights and sea crossings are affected by these new measures, with the exception of children under 11 years of age.
Following the resurgence of new infections in France, the government and the National Assembly have taken restrictive measures to counter the Covid-19 pandemic. After the lockdown decided on October 30 by the government, the National Assembly voted on Saturday, November 7, to extend the state of health emergency until February 16.
