France Leads EU in Deportation Orders for Moroccan Nationals

France is at the top of the European countries that have issued orders for Moroccan nationals to leave their territory.
France ordered 2,355 Moroccan nationals to leave its territory in the second quarter of this year, according to recent data from the European statistical office (Eurostat). It is followed by Italy, which ordered 1,345 Moroccan citizens to leave the country, then Belgium, with around 1,230 departure requests. In addition, Germany and the Netherlands respectively ordered more than 380 and 150 Moroccans to leave their national territory.
What about the number of Moroccans expelled or returned to their country in the second quarter of this year? According to data published by Eurostat, the French authorities expelled about 345 Moroccans, while the Roman authorities expelled about 160. In addition, 110 Moroccans left Germany to return to their country, and 95 did the same from Belgium, while a slightly lower number returned from the Netherlands.
Algerians and Moroccans are at the top of the list of foreign citizens whom the Member States of the European Union have ordered to leave their national territory in the second quarter of this year, according to Eurostat. These two nationalities each represent 7% of the total number of departure orders (more than 96,000) issued during this period, followed by Turks and Syrians, with 6% for each of these nationalities.
As for the number of foreigners who have actually returned to their country of origin during this period at the European level, it amounts to more than 25,000 people. The number of returns has decreased by about 4% compared to the figures recorded in the first three months of the current year. Georgian citizens are at the top of the list with 10% of the total returns. They are followed by Albanians with 8%, then Turks with 7%.
According to the same data, there is a 10% decrease in the number of foreign citizens who have been ordered to leave a European Union country compared to the figures for the second quarter of the previous year. Conversely, the number of returns or deportations to their country of origin has increased by more than 21%.
