France Imposes Quarantine on Foreign Travelers with Sinopharm Vaccine, Exempts French Citizens

Moroccan and other foreign travelers vaccinated with the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine will be subject to mandatory quarantine upon arrival on French territory. French citizens who have received the same vaccine are not affected by this measure.
While some European countries such as Spain, Hungary and the Netherlands have recognized the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine, and Europe has accepted the Moroccan vaccination pass, France refuses to do so. The paradox is that French travelers vaccinated with Sinopharm will not be subject to quarantine upon arrival in France, but those of other nationalities who have been injected with the same vaccine must undergo a period of isolation, reports Hespress.
Since Wednesday, the European Commission considers the Covid-19 vaccination and test certificates issued by Morocco as equivalent to those issued in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2021/953, "in order to facilitate the exercise of the right to free movement within the Union". The Kingdom is currently the only African and Arab country to have such status within the European Union, according to a European source in Brussels.
