Former Rap Star Diam’s Reveals Personal Journey in Cannes Documentary ’Salam’

In Salam, a documentary film on her journey, which does not yet have a release date but will be presented at the Cannes Film Festival, former rapper Diam’s tells the public "her truth", her "depression", her "suffering" and her "quest".
Diam’s is back in the spotlight with a documentary film called Salam. Produced with the BrutX platform, this film will be presented at the Cannes Film Festival. "For the first time on camera, she confides in the glory, psychiatry, the search for meaning and her conversion to Islam. She takes us on the trail of Diam’s and reveals in this intimate and discreet account the secrets of her story," the platform announces.
Why this film? On Saturday, the performer of Confessions nocturnes explained in a post on her Instagram account that for years she was not ready to "give the keys to her life so that others could make a film about it." "For years, people have been knocking on my door asking for permission to stage my life, to play it, to interpret it," wrote the former rapper. Requests for documentaries, biopics, and series have been pouring in. "It was impossible for her to let strangers speak in her place." This is why the performer of "Feuille blanche" decided to take up her pen again. The Salam project is thus born. Diam’s retraces her journey and reveals herself in this documentary film.
