Former Raja Club President’s Brother Sentenced in Casablanca Real Estate Fraud Case

Involved in a real estate fraud case, the brother of a former president of the Raja club in Casablanca, as well as other people, were given heavy prison sentences.
The criminal chamber of the Court of Appeal of Casablanca rendered its verdict this Saturday in the case concerning the real estate property called "Blad Hadda", registered under title deed number 49/11384 in Tit Mellil. Abdellah Boudrika, the brother of the former president of the Raja club of Casablanca, Mohamed Boudrika, and the notary, both main defendants, were sentenced to six years in prison.
The same sentence was also imposed on the defendant Batoul, the adopted daughter of the owner of the property, and the broker A. Selsouli. The mediator Alami B. was sentenced to three months in prison. Karouani, another intermediary, suspected of having introduced a fake "Hadda" claiming to be the owner of the expropriated property, was acquitted.
The case had come to light following a complaint filed by the heir of the Blad Hadda property. She accused the convicted persons of document forgery in order to appropriate the land belonging to her mother.
