Former Moroccan MP Sentenced to 3 Years for 1993 Student Murder

The Court of Appeal of Fez has rendered its verdict in the case of former MP Abdelali Hamieddine, who has just been sentenced to 3 years in prison.
This court decision follows Hamieddine’s involvement in the murder of a leftist student (Benaïssa Aït El Jid), which occurred near the Sidi Mohammed Benabdellah University in 1993. In addition to this sentence, the PJD leader will have to pay 20,000 dirhams in compensation to the Aït El Jid family.
