Former Moroccan ISIS Fighter Recounts Harrowing Escape in Video Confession

After discovering the true face of Daesh, Mustafa Ghayat, a young Moroccan and former fighter of this terrorist organization, recounts, in a video, his escape with his wife and two other fighters. His biggest regret is having joined the ranks of the Islamic State.
Mustafa Ghayat opens up to the public. The former Daesh fighter claims that he was categorically refused when he asked to withdraw his wife’s passport, which had forced him to flee with her and other fighters by crossing the Turkish border, reports barlamane.com.
According to his account, he "headed to the Moroccan Embassy once they all arrived in Turkey".
Even though Mustafa Ghayat confessed that he had never witnessed any event related to sexual harassment in the ranks of the fighters, he nevertheless expressed fears. "I was afraid for my wife and I regret the first day I thought of joining the ranks of the Islamic State," declares the former jihadist, full of regrets.
Other reasons explain his regrets. The former Daesh fighter said he was a victim of racism practiced by the leaders of the terrorist organization. Mustafa Ghayat added that discrimination existed not only between the different nationalities, but also between people from the same country.
The scenes of execution of mosque imams who dared to intervene and advise the leaders of Daesh are acts that had disillusioned him, hence the planning of his escape with his pregnant wife.
