Former Moroccan PM Benkirane Challenges Auditors to Examine His Assets Amid Pension Controversy

In a live video on Facebook, former government president Abdelilah Benkirane invites Driss Jettou, president of the Court of Auditors, to come and scrutinize his assets.
While accusations are still flying about Benkirane, particularly regarding a second pension he is said to be receiving, the latter responds to his accusers in a live video on Facebook. He invites the president of the Court of Accounts, Driss Jettou, to verify his possessions and assets.
Benkirane also takes the opportunity of this intervention to point the finger at his main accusers: Rachid Ninni and the Amazigh activist Ahmed Assid. The former for having published "false information" in his newspaper Al Akhbar and the latter for conveying the erroneous thesis of a certain amount of his pension.
The former Head of Government had admitted a few weeks ago to receiving a pension of 70,000 dirhams per month following an intervention by King Mohammed VI who was "moved" by his delicate personal situation.
