Former Moroccan Athlete Jailed for Death Threats Against Ex-Wife in Carcassonne

The Carcassonne court sentenced a former Moroccan military pentathlon athlete, tried in immediate appearance, to four months in prison for "repeated death threats" against his future ex-wife and her relatives.
The facts had occurred on September 25 in Carcassonne. "I’m going to gouge out your eyes... I’m going to kill you, you and your relatives..." Hicham had launched at his future ex-wife after blocking her way. Alerted, the police had gone down to the La Conte area on Claude-Perraults Street where they arrested the future ex-concubine, reports L’Indépendant. The judge of freedoms and detention (JLD) had ordered his placement in pre-trial detention.
Hicham was tried in immediate appearance before the Carcassonne court on September 30. At the bar, he said he regretted "what came out of my mouth".
