The Chamber in charge of financial crimes and money laundering at the Court of Appeal of Fez has seized all the movable and immovable property of a former MP, as well as those of a former councilor in the Al Mariniyine district, both main defendants in the "Chinese plans" case.

In addition to the seizure of assets, the Chamber in charge of financial crimes and money laundering at the Court of Appeal of Fez has also reduced the prison sentences handed down at first instance in 2021 in this case. Thus, the three-year sentence imposed on the former MP and the former municipal councilor (both former deputies of Hamid Chabat) has been reduced to one year. The 50,000 DH fine is however maintained. The two sons of the former deputy, as well as his wife, were sentenced to one year in prison with a suspended sentence and a fine of 20,000 DH each. Eleven (six real estate developers and five architects) of the thirteen other people prosecuted in this case and sentenced to one year in prison and a fine of 20,000 DH see their sentence reduced.
