Former Algerian President Bouteflika’s Birthplace in Morocco Demolished

Threatened with collapse for several years, the house where Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika was born in Oujda, in eastern Morocco, has just been demolished by the local authorities.
The discussions led by the Algerian authorities, in particular the consulate, and the officials of the city of Oujda have finally resulted in an agreement, reports the site Alyaoum24, and the house has finally been demolished.
This house, abandoned for several years and located in the old medina, threatened to collapse, endangering the lives of neighbors and passers-by, the same source specifies. Finally, officials from the Algerian consulate in Oujda were present on site to supervise its destruction.
According to the same source, President Abdelaziz Bouteflika is no longer one of the heirs of this house where he was born in 1937. His family still owns other residences in the capital of the Oriental region.
