Food Poisoning at Moroccan Wedding Sickens Over 150 Guests

The toll of the food poisoning that occurred last Saturday during a wedding ceremony in Douar Al-Daijjat, in the commune of Moulay Abdellah in the province of El Jadida, has worsened.
The toll has gone from 96 to 152 people. The tragedy began last Saturday when several people presented symptoms of food poisoning, such as acute abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea after consuming a "chicken à la daghmira" dish during a wedding dinner.
The victims of this food poisoning were admitted to the emergency department of the Mohammed V regional hospital in El Jadida to receive first aid. Some cases were referred to private clinics.
