Food poisoning emergency: 80 hospitalized after funeral meal Zagora
A funeral meal turned into a health emergency in the municipality of Tinzouline, near Zagora. Nearly 80 people suffered severe food poisoning after sharing the same dinner.
The tragedy unfolded during a gathering organized to mark the end of a mourning period. Shortly after consuming a couscous dish accompanied by watermelon, the numerous guests were seized by acute pain and sudden complications. This massive influx triggered a genuine general mobilization at Zagora’s provincial hospital. Medical and nursing teams on duty were urgently reinforced to manage the crisis, while specific spaces were set up to quickly administer necessary treatments and prevent any deterioration of the situation.

The rapid intervention of healthcare workers made it possible to rule out any major danger. According to medical sources, almost all patients were able to leave the facility once initial care was provided and their condition stabilized. However, four children were kept for observation.
