The torrential rains that hit the city of Taroudant on Tuesday caused flooding and flooding of the surrounding wadis.
The road axes connecting Taroudant to the many surrounding villages were blocked due to the flooding of the Souss and Tounfit rivers, reports Alyaoum24, noting that the inhabitants had to resort to rudimentary means to try to unblock the storm drains.
The heavy rains caused considerable material damage to homes, businesses and agricultural land in the region, adds the same source.
According to the forecasts of the National Meteorology Directorate, heavy rains are expected on the Draa plateau in the coming days, still fearing the scenario of last year.
