Ferry Service Between Spain’s Motril Port and Morocco Set to Resume This Weekend

The port of Motril (Granada region) could restore maritime passenger traffic with Morocco this weekend, with the resumption of links to Nador and Al Hoceima.
Barring last-minute changes, the first ferry should leave Nador on Friday at 1 a.m. to arrive at the port of Motril at 9 a.m., and the first departure from the port of Motril will take place at 11 p.m. on that same Friday to arrive in Nador at 7 a.m., reports Granada Hoy, specifying that on Saturday, the same ferry will make the connection with Al Hoceima.

With the resumption of the line with Tanger Med ensured by the shipping company FRS, the maritime link between the port of Motril and Morocco will be fully restored. The resumption of passenger traffic with Morocco was finalized in recent days during a meeting held by the Port Authority of Motril with the shipping company Trasmediterranea, adds the same source.
The port of Motril has been preparing for some time for the resumption of traffic. It has already invested a little more than two million euros to renovate its infrastructure in order to offer more security and comfort to users, and plans to spend more than 2.5 million this year to rehabilitate the various facilities and services used by travelers.
