New Ferry Route to Connect Spain and Morocco via Tanger-Med Port

The FRS company has just announced a new maritime link between Spain and the Moroccan port of Tanger-Med. This new line is expected to be operational in the coming weeks.
Currently dedicated to the line between Motril and Melilla, the FRS ship "Volcán de Tauce" will now cover Motril, in the Granada region, and Tanger-Med, after the arrival of another ship, Golden Bridge, next May, reports the local website El Faro de Ceuta.
The "Miramar Express", currently dedicated to this line, should also be redirected to another destination, according to the same source, which specifies that tickets will be on sale in the very near future.
This announcement was made as preparations are well underway for the "Operation Strait Crossing (Operación Paso del Estrecho), the equivalent of its sister Marhaba, the maritime company indicates. "It is a good operation for the port of Motril because it will promote an increase in the number of passengers using its regular lines with North Africa," said the company’s president José García Fuentes.
In addition to Tanger Med, FRS already offers regular rotations with Melilla, Nador and Alhoceima, always departing from Motril.
