Ferry Carrying 1,600 Moroccan Expats Departs Sète After 48-Hour Delay

Blocked for 48 hours in Sète, Victoria I, the ferry chartered by the Moroccan company Intershipping to transport Moroccans residing abroad (MRE) to Morocco, has set sail.
Victoria I is on its way to Tangier after being blocked for 48 hours in the port of Sète. In total, 1,600 MRE are on board this ship. They had expressed their anger at the accumulated delays, the refusal of the Moroccan company Intershipping to pay the fuel price.
"We embarked yesterday around 6pm (Friday, July 16) on the boat and we are still at the quay. After asking what’s going on, we were told that Spain has not authorized the boat to dock in Tarragona for fuel supply and that the port of Sète is not suitable for supplying so much fuel to a boat like this," a passenger told us.
She is dismayed by the situation. "We are almost 2,000 passengers and there is a shortage of water and food, she says. We are abandoned by all authorities. [...] Despite our hashtags and our distress."
