Faudel triumphs on stage but lives a family drama in Morocco

Settled in Morocco for twelve years, the "little prince of raï" Faudel has confided in his family wounds. The singer deplores a total rupture with his two eldest children, despite his repeated attempts to reestablish dialogue.

An iconic figure of raï in the 1990s, Faudel is experiencing a triumphant return with the "I Gotta Feeling" tour. Bringing together the icons of the 2000s, the show has already attracted 170,000 spectators across the country. This success relaunches the career of the 47-year-old artist, with a new season already planned for the fall of 2027.

Yet, behind the spotlights, the artist is living a painful personal situation. A Moroccan citizen by decision of King Mohammed VI, he resides permanently in the Kingdom. According to Public, this settlement has created a rift with Enzy and Yana, his two eldest children born from his union with Anissa Raiah.

"Every time I try to reconnect, I find myself facing a wall," he confesses bitterly. Faudel explains that he has not seen his elders since his final departure for Morocco. This prolonged separation is part of a context of a difficult divorce, marked by financial disputes and accusations of unpaid alimony that he firmly contests.

While he is now thriving with his partner Hala and their two younger children, Loulia and Taim, the interpreter of "Tellement N’Brick" remains marked by this silence. For him, divorces should take place in good understanding to preserve the children, a peace he has still not found with his first family.
