Father of Slain Children Reacts to Ex-Wife’s Euthanasia in Belgium
Having gone to Morocco to pay tribute to the tomb of his five children, Bouchaïb Moqadem learned through his lawyer of the euthanasia death of his ex-wife Geneviève Lhermitte.
"I have no comment to make on this matter! My feelings, I keep them to myself, I can’t share them with everyone. It was a massacre 16 years ago and that’s it!" declared Bouchaïb Moqadem, adding that he did not expect this news. "I am under Belgian protection, justice has passed, what is done is done. I have nothing more to say, I don’t need the press, I’m fine in my corner," reports Sudinfo.
Bouchaib Moqadem has still not been able to mourn. "This massacre" for which his ex-wife Geneviève Lhermitte had been sentenced to life imprisonment in 2008 before being granted conditional release in 2019, remains a "difficult ordeal" for him. After her release from prison, she was hospitalized in a psychiatric center, before joining the Léonard de Vinci hospital located in the Charleroi region, where she spent her last days. She was euthanized at the age of 56, on the day commemorating the 16th anniversary of the death of these five children.
