Family Rescued After Boat Capsizes During Attempted Migration to Spain

A family father, his wife and their child narrowly avoided a tragedy on Wednesday morning. They found themselves trapped in the waves, after the capsizing of the boat that was to take them to Spain.
According to the president of the National Alliance for the Defense of Human Rights, Mohamed Belmehdi, three members of the same family, rescued off Larache by civil protection elements, arrived in critical condition at the city’s hospital. The woman was pregnant.
Originally from a village on the outskirts of the city, the family as well as a fourth person were able to overcome the critical phase thanks to the intervention of the hospital’s resuscitator, notes Alyaoum24.
Attempts to leave for Europe from this region will multiply in the coming months, warns the president of the Alliance.
