Family Feud Turns Deadly: Moroccan Man Lynched Over Land Dispute

Members of a family killed one of their cousins by stoning him for agricultural land belonging to someone else. They blamed the victim for having helped a landowner legally recover a farmland on which they were growing crops.
The Royal Gendarmerie brought four people who participated in the lynching of the quinquagenarian before the prosecutor of the king near the court of appeal of Kénitra, reports Assabah. Two other suspects involved in this homicide are still on the run.
Three months ago, these individuals wanted to settle the score with their cousin. He had kept a low profile until the day they set an ambush for him. The alleged perpetrators of the lynching had sought the help of a woman, very close to the victim. She had given him a meeting in an isolated place where his attackers were waiting for him. The victim was pelted with stones, one of which hit him in the head. He died two days later from internal bleeding.
