Fake Cocaine Ring Busted in Northern Morocco, Linked to Spanish Enclave

A cocaine trafficking network was dismantled by the judicial police and the Royal Gendarmerie of Nador, on Tuesday, September 3. The members of the cell had managed to flood the city with fake white drugs.
According to the daily Assabah, the four individuals who profit from this very lucrative business, obtain supplies from dealers in the Spanish enclave of Melilla. The Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) has provided important information on their network.
The network, whose leader is suspected of being involved in a murder case, managed to obtain the white powder at 10 dirhams per gram, before selling it at 600 dirhams.
The newspaper specifies that it is an adulterated drug that is marketed in the region, hence its low price. A mixture is made from the mixture of hard drugs with chemicals, making it possible to have larger quantities.
The fake drug was sold to young people from poor neighborhoods of the city at derisory prices, to encourage consumption. Some associations had denounced a company in Spain as the source of the drug. According to them, it leads to strong addiction.
