The Var prefecture refused to renew a 60-year-old Moroccan man’s residence permit and ordered him to leave France. It cited a conviction for drunk driving and malicious calls that had not resulted in a conviction. The judge suspends all of these decisions.
The court had overturned the withdrawal of her resident card, but the prefect of Haute-Corse appealed. The courts have once again ruled in favor of this Moroccan woman, who arrived in France at the age of 12, and ordered the state to pay her 1,500 euros.
Arriving in France in 2014 to study, a Moroccan woman subsequently obtained a “talent passport – qualified employee.” Twelve years later, the prefecture refused to renew her residence permit, issued her an OQTF and banned her from returning to France for one year.

Having lived in Belgium for more than 17 years, surrounded by his brothers and working as an interpreter, a Moroccan national receives a refusal of residence and an order to leave. The administration describes his return to Morocco as a mere “formality.” The judge annuls both decisions.
