Expired Food Scandal Rocks Moroccan Military Supply Chain

Several tons of products unfit for consumption, destined for the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), were seized by Gendarmerie elements at the "Mohammed V" International Airport. A case that could bring down many heads.
Tons of expired goods (canned goods, olive oil, ...) that were supposed to end up on the plates of soldiers in about twenty FAR barracks, were it not for the vigilance of the gendarmes active at the "Mohammed V" Airport in Casablanca.
Such a result was not so obvious. The supplier would have removed the original labels from the product packaging to replace them with others, with still valid dates. This offender is currently on the run. But several people involved have been arrested, according to the site Le360, which relays information from the daily Al Ahdath.
This dishonest supplier was responsible for supplying 18 FAR units in the Casablanca-Settat region, barracks in Marrakech and Benguérir, as well as units in the Oriental region and the Royal Navy.
The investigation would also concern several senior officials, according to the same source. It also specifies that the persons responsible for the merchandise are currently in prison and that "elements of the company have been released, pending the results of the thorough investigation".
