European Parliament Corruption Probe: Morocco and Qatar Accused of Paying Millions to MEPs

The corruption scandal shaking the European Parliament has not finished revealing its secrets. Revelations have been made about the sums of money that would have been paid by Morocco and Qatar to MEPs to intervene in their favor within the institution.
Based on the arrest warrant issued for Eva Kaili, which it was able to consult, Politico, an online media specialized in the activities of European institutions, claims that "several million euros" have been paid to MEPs. "Considerable sums of money" have been "secretly paid, in cash by Morocco and Qatar [...], the warrant specifies. The Minister of Labor appears to be the controller of Mr. Panzeri’s activities." Currently, the Belgian police are trying to find out if this money has been laundered.
As part of the Belgian investigation into this case of alleged corruption of the European Parliament by Morocco and Qatar, the federal judicial police had found 1.5 million euros in cash in Brussels: 600,000 euros at Pier Antonio Panzeri’s, the former Italian MEP suspected of having "politically intervened with European deputies in favor of Qatar and Morocco, against payment"; 150,000 euros in Eva Kaili’s apartment, the former vice-president of the European Parliament, and 750,000 euros found in the suitcase of Eva Kaili’s father.
