UN Envoy Sets March Meeting on Western Sahara Dispute with Morocco, Polisario

The UN Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy for the Sahara, Horst Kohler, has just revealed the date of the next meeting between Morocco and the Polisario.
During a briefing held on Tuesday at the UN Security Council in New York, he announced his intention to organize a new round table on the Sahara, which will be attended by Morocco, the Polisario, Algeria and Mauritania.
Before organizing this round table, probably in Geneva in March, Horst Kohler still wishes to meet the protagonists "individually" in order to define the agenda of this meeting. "We are preparing the next round and we expect a good meeting in March," he confirmed to the MAP.
For the French Ambassador to the UN, François Delattre, who has always supported Morocco on the Sahara issue, Kohler "has a vision, and the trust of all the delegations around the table. So we have a good environment," estimating that the former German president (2004-2010) enjoys unanimous support from the members of the Security Council.
