Formerly unknown a year ago, this Moroccan is now followed by Lille
The winter transfer window is approaching and LOSC Lille is active behind the scenes. The northern club is closely following Gessime Yassine, a young Moroccan international winger under 20 who is currently shining at Dunkerque.
According to information reported by La Voix du Nord, the Lille leaders are seriously studying the profile of this 20-year-old talent to strengthen their attacking sector. Under contract until June 2027 with the second division club, Gessime could be the subject of an offer as early as January. Two options are on the table: a straight transfer to immediately join the Dogues squad, or a transaction including a loan to Dunkerque until the end of the season to allow him to continue his progression.
It must be said that the young Lion of the Atlas is impressive. With two goals and seven assists in 14 games in all competitions, he has established himself as a key player for his team. His status has taken on another dimension on the international stage, as he is an undisputed starter for the U20 national team, recently crowned world champions in Chile, a historic run to which he greatly contributed.
If the operation materializes, Gessime Yassine will not be disoriented in the North. He would join a large Moroccan contingent within LOSC, composed of winger Osame Sahraoui, young midfielder trained at the club Ayyoub Bouaddi, and striker Hamza Igamane, who arrived last August from Glasgow Rangers.
