’Elite’ Star Mina El Hammani Reveals Death Threats and Struggles with Sudden Fame

Invited to Pablo Motos’ "El Hormiguero" show, the Madrid-born Moroccan actress Mina El Hammani, who played the role of Nadia in the "Elite" series, said she had "received death threats", admitting how difficult it was for her to become famous overnight.
Mina El Hammani recounts how her life changed radically four years ago, after the first broadcast of the series. Since then, she has no more private life, she who was jealous of her intimacy. Her new life as an actress and the success of the series broadcast on Netflix have propelled her to fame. The 29-year-old woman confesses to having been threatened with death and subjected to racist attacks by Internet users. At first, she was "shocked", but she has learned to deal with it over time, she says, especially after the death of her father in 2020. "Since I lost my father, I don’t care about anything," she says bluntly.
In the Elite series, Mina El Hammani plays the role of Nadia, the daughter of a worker and a housewife who has never ceased to convey values of respect and love for others, regardless of race and origin. The actress works hard every day to land new roles. Mina had a difficult childhood and adolescence, as she was a victim of racism.
