EgyptAir Launches Flights for Moroccan Umrah Pilgrims to Saudi Arabia

Since Friday, the airline EgyptAir has been transporting Moroccan pilgrims wishing to perform the Umrah during the months of Sha’aban and Ramadan.
The Dreamliner B787-9 and A330-200 aircraft with a capacity of 309 and 268 seats respectively are transporting nearly 3,200 Moroccan pilgrims between Casablanca, Fez and Tangier and the cities of Jeddah and Medina in Saudi Arabia, with a stopover at Cairo International Airport, say EgyptAir officials. A total of 11 flights scheduled as part of agreements with Moroccan travel agencies.
This year, the Saudi authorities have lifted the health restrictions and age conditions for unaccompanied women (under 45 years old). As a result, demand is high but difficult to meet.
