Egypt Arranges Special Flights to Repatriate Citizens Stranded in Morocco

Egypt has decided to organize the repatriation of its nationals stranded in Morocco following the suspension of air links between the two countries. "Three exceptional flights (Casablanca/Cairo)" have thus been scheduled.
On its Facebook page, the Egyptian embassy in Rabat specified that these three exceptional flights will be operated on March 12, 17 and 19. Concerned by these flights are Egyptians stranded in Morocco, their families and non-Egyptians traveling to Cairo or other countries via Cairo. Those among them who have already purchased Egypt Air tickets have the option to modify their departure dates at the Egypt Air office in Casablanca. All passengers except children under 6 years old are required to present a negative PCR test performed 72 hours before the flight.
As of March 9, Morocco has suspended air links with 26 countries until March 26. This decision is part of the preventive measures against the spread of the coronavirus and its new variants. The countries concerned are: Turkey, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Sweden, Australia, Brazil, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Denmark, South Africa, Belgium, Italy, Algeria, Egypt, Poland, Norway, Finland, Greece, Lebanon and Kuwait. This list is evaluated every 15 days.
