EasyJet Flight Forced to Return to Geneva After Passenger Assaults Crew Member

An EasyJet flight departing Geneva for Marrakech turned back on Friday to expel a Moroccan woman who had assaulted a member of the crew.
The plane did not arrive in Marrakech on Friday as planned. And for good reason, a passenger of Moroccan origin verbally assaulted a member of the crew. "Shortly after takeoff, she got up to talk to a flight attendant," recounts another passenger. Five minutes later, the plane turned around. "We thought it was related to the aircraft, but once on the ground, the lady who had spoken to the crew was evacuated," confides the young woman to the newspaper 20 minutes.
After disembarking, the captain explained to the other passengers that she "had been impolite towards the crew, that her behavior was unacceptable." The Geneva police, informed of the incident, were waiting for the young woman on the tarmac of the airport. "The captain of the plane had indicated to us that he did not want this person to remain on board. We quietly escorted her to the exit," said Joanna Matta, a police spokeswoman.
The plane resumed its journey after this closed incident. "We arrived two hours late. In my opinion, she will receive a hefty bill for this story," we think. That same Friday, another flight to Amsterdam had to turn around after takeoff due to smoke detected in the aircraft.
