EasyJet Expands Morocco Routes from French Cities Amid Looming Strike Concerns

Six new routes between Lyon, Nantes, Nice and Toulouse, and Morocco have been inaugurated by the airline EasyJet. However, this launch will be disrupted at the end of the year due to the strike of the Union of Flight Attendants and Stewards.
Since October 27, 2019, the British company has been offering two weekly flights from Nantes-Atlantique Airport to Agadir-Al Massira, on Thursdays and Sundays, in competition with Transavia France and TUI fly Belgium.
In addition to this line, the company plans to launch two weekly flights to Tangier-Ibn Battouta, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, facing Volotea.
EasyJet is determined to get closer to its customers in Nice-Côte d’Azur. It is therefore offering two new routes operated twice a week to Morocco, with Agadir (Wednesday and Saturday from October 30) and Tangier (Wednesday and Sunday from October 27), this time without competition.
The route to Agadir will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, facing Air arabia Maroc, not to mention the Lyon-Saint Exupéry line to Tangier, launched since October 28, on Mondays and Fridays, in competition with Air arabia Maroc.
On the EasyJet side, they claim to have sold more than half a million seats in 2019 between France and the Kingdom of Morocco, an increase of 60% compared to 2018.
