Eastern European Dancers Fuel Agadir’s Nightlife and Tourism Boom

A wave of dancers from Eastern European countries has hit the city of Agadir in recent years. Young and beautiful, these women are new objects of desire for Moroccan and foreign tourists. They also master Moroccan, oriental and popular dances and much more.
Objects of desire for the tourist establishments of the city, these nationals of Eastern countries are, for the most part, from poor backgrounds. The high demand from nightclubs and cabarets encourages them to set foot in Agadir, for limited periods, under the guise of professional dancers.
In reality, the hotel establishments are exploiting these dancers to offer their clients complete packages at ridiculous prices. All-in-one bouquets that offer locals and foreigners alike accommodation, travel, extra services and nightclub evenings.
According to the daily Assabah, a Russian dancer said: "I heard Russian girls who had already visited the city talk about its universality, its safety, its pleasant climate and its inhabitants who are crazy about Russians, Ukrainians and Poles. The dance profession is very relaxing and does not require effort or certificates."
