Drunk Passenger Arrested After Disruptive Behavior on Morocco-Bound Flight

Muhamed Azam, 37, caused a scandal during a flight of the airline Thomas Cook, bound for Morocco. Drunk, he was refused an orange juice by the flight attendants, whom he wrongly accused of being racist.
After the landing of the "Thomas Cook" plane at Marrakech Airport last January, Muhamed Azam was arrested. On vacation with a group of friends, he had started shouting on the plane: "I’m a pharmacist, I work hard to earn a living. You can’t tell the f*cking king what to do," reports The men.
The Court said that Azam had also mistreated the aircraft’s captain, kicked a passenger’s seat and claimed that the glass of orange juice he was served was sweetened.
"I have 27 years of experience as a flight attendant, where I have faced a number of problems on board, but this individual was one of the worst," said Donna Bayley Jones, a flight attendant.
For her, one of the catalysts for the pharmacist’s behavior was clearly the drink. "Acting like that at 37,000 feet. People are generally nervous when they fly [...]. We shouldn’t have to tolerate this kind of behavior," she added.
Azam admitted the facts against him. And the Royal Court of Manchester sentenced him to six months in prison.
