Drug Trafficking Scandal Rocks Morocco’s Al Akhawayn University

A student from Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane was arrested for drug trafficking. He is accused of the illegal sale of cannabis within the university.
The defendant is being prosecuted for possession and sale of drugs within the institution where he is pursuing his studies, reports Al Massae. He was arrested on the basis of precise information by the local authorities. During his arrest, nearly 5 kg of hashish were found in his possession.
Pending his appearance before the judge, the young student was placed in pre-trial detention at the Toulal prison in Meknes. In addition, the investigation is ongoing to clarify the details of this case.
