Driving Schools Reopen in Morocco with COVID-19 Safety Measures

After more than two three months of suspended activity, driving schools are reopening. They are starting this Monday, June 15, with the exception of the interface with the National Road Safety Agency (Narsa) which will only be reactivated on Wednesday, June 17.
Many conditions have been set before the reopening of driving schools as part of the prevention of covid-19, reports l’Economiste. Among these are disinfection, wearing masks, visors and distancing...
Regarding distancing, the installation of a glass partition inside the vehicles is considered unrealistic by professionals in the sector. For the secretary general of the Federation of Driving Schools, the partition would be dangerous, as it would prevent the instructor from intervening quickly in the event of a bad maneuver by the candidate. "An ongoing risk since 2016, the year of the removal of the dual steering wheel in driving school cars," he recalls.
According to him, the profession has been greatly affected by the health crisis with the forced suspension of activity for three months. He also argues that the current situation does not allow for investment in expensive equipment such as the purchase of an infrared thermometer to measure employees’ temperature.
