Dozens Arrested for Cheating in Morocco’s National Baccalaureate Exams

Even though the Ministry of National Education has welcomed the good conduct of the Baccalaureate, it is still necessary to point out the arrest of several dozen candidates for cheating.
The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) reports the arrest of 150 people, including 16 female candidates, accused of cheating during the Baccalaureate, which took place from June 11 to 13.
In detail, 138 candidates were caught in the act of cheating, while 12 others were arrested for "their involvement in common law crimes, including attacks on persons and property, as well as the carrying of prohibited objects".
The cheaters tried to use various tools or methods to circumvent the measures put in place by the Ministry. Thus, the examiners seized 111 mobile phones, 41 wireless headphones connected to computer equipment, 1 electronic watch and 3 shirts equipped with wireless headphones.
In addition, the services in charge of computer monitoring identified 81 people who had opened accounts on social networks to facilitate fraud, adding that their location and arrest are underway, in light of the judicial investigations carried out, at the national level.
