Disruptive Passengers Force Emergency Landing in Morocco After Alcohol-Fueled Incident

Alcohol abuse is not only bad for health but can also be a source of embarrassment and problems for some. A plane made an unexpected stopover in Casablanca to drop off two apparently too drunk women.
On January 20, a mother and daughter were on a flight from Manchester (UK) to Agadir and were celebrating the trip with "their own alcohol," reports the Daily Mail newspaper. After being repeatedly called to order by the crew, without success, the two women were finally expelled from the plane.
According to the newspaper, the captain decided to land the plane in Casablanca to have them disembark. On arrival, it took several minutes for the crew and passengers to persuade them to get off in Casablanca, where they were greeted by Moroccan police.
The plane was able to take off again and arrived in Agadir, albeit 3 hours late. It is not known whether the two women were able to reach Agadir on their own or take a return flight to Great Britain.
