During her two-day visit to Morocco, the Crown Princess, Mary of Denmark, participated in a marathon. This is her first outing since her appointment as Regent by Queen Margrethe II.
The 47-year-old Princess Mary, newly appointed Regent, highlighted her fitness performance by participating in a marathon on Friday, October 4.
Dressed in a navy blue and blue jogging outfit and a cap, she was smiling as she ran with other participants in Rabat.
The Crown Princess of Denmark also took the opportunity during her stay to attend the 2019 Youth Innovation Summit, on the same day.
On this occasion, she met with Moroccan youth on the first day of this major five-day event.
The aim of this event is to raise awareness among young people about their role in addressing Morocco’s most pressing social and economic issues.
Born in Tasmania, the Australian, known as Mary Donaldson, has been given new powers by Queen Margrethe.
Now Regent, Princess Mary can perform the functions of Head of State in Margrethe’s absence from Danish territory, or for health reasons.
