Death of Abdelhadi Belkhayat, icon of Moroccan song

Abdelhadi Belkhayat, one of the pillars who shaped the golden age of Moroccan culture, has passed away following a deterioration of his health.

Hospitalized for several weeks at the military hospital in Rabat, the deceased will be buried this Saturday in Casablanca. The funeral will take place at the Ennour mosque, where the funeral prayer will be pronounced before the burial of this historical figure whose artistic trajectory is considered exceptional.

Considered one of the most eminent pioneers of the modern music scene, his name remains inseparable from masterpieces that have marked the collective memory of Moroccans. His flagship title, "Qitar Al Hayat" (The Train of Life), has remained for decades the symbol of authentic creativity and an unalterable melodic heritage.

Although he has been away from the stage for many years, his influence has never declined with the public. His career, marked by successes that constitute benchmarks in the history of national music, continues to be perceived as a major source of inspiration for the younger generation.
