Deadly Crash in Morocco: Van Overturns, Killing 2 and Injuring 27 Near Sidi Kacem

A violent collision between a tricycle and a van, on the road connecting Sidi Kacem to Khenichet, was the cause of a terrible accident on Friday evening, January 24.
Two people were killed and 27 others were seriously injured, following the overturning of the van, which crushed the car of the wife of a gendarme on its way.
The 27 seriously injured, including two in critical condition, taken to the Ibn Sina University Hospital in Rabat, were urgently transported to the Sidi Kacem hospital to receive the necessary care.
The accident prompted the prefect of the city of Sidi Kacem, as well as several senior officials of the national police and the Royal Gendarmerie, to go to the bedside of the victims.
