Danish Ambassador Expresses Gratitude for Moroccan Support After Tourist Murders

The Danish ambassador to Rabat, Nikolaj Harris, said he was deeply touched by the many messages of sympathy sent by Moroccans following the murder of two foreign tourists (a Dane and a Norwegian).
"As the representative of Denmark in Morocco, I would like to thank the Moroccan people and its institutions for the messages of sympathy and compassion addressed to the families and loved ones of the victims of Imlil as well as to the Danish people," writes the ambassador in a message posted on Twitter.
"Several people have laid flowers and candles in front of the embassy, personally, I wish to express how deeply touched I have been by this show of solidarity during this difficult week. The embassy has received multiple communications of support from our Moroccan friends as well as other embassies in Rabat," the ambassador continues.
"The Imlil act - currently investigated as an act of terrorism - is odious and senseless. We appreciate the effort the Moroccan authorities are making to ensure that the perpetrators of these crimes are held accountable before the law. I am grateful for the dialogue that has taken place at the highest level with Moroccan officials."
