Dangerous Fugitive ’El Pastilla’ Captured in Germany After Multi-Country Manhunt

Actively sought since his escape from the Alcalá Meco prison in Madrid, Youssef Lehrech alias "El Pastilla", was arrested on Thursday near the Leipzig train station in Germany. The dangerous criminal, accused of two murders, had been located in Morocco and France.
The arrest of the fugitive in Germany was made possible thanks to the exchange of information through the European network of active fugitive search teams (ENFAST) and the images from the surveillance cameras in the area where he had taken refuge, the national police said on Friday.
Before Germany, the criminal had been located in France. According to the investigators, El Pastilla would have taken refuge in the city of Montpellier after his prison escape, an affair that had caused a great stir. For some, the criminal was in Getxo or Galicia, or even in Morocco, reports La Voz Digital.
After identifying the fugitive, a device was set up, in collaboration with the German authorities, to monitor his movements and his environment, which led to his arrest on Thursday, not far from the Leipzig train station.
Youssef Lehrech, 20 years old, of Moroccan origin, is being prosecuted for the murders of Nayim K.A alias Tayena, a suspected drug baron from Ceuta, shot dead in April in Los Barrios (Cadiz), and a young port agent in Algeciras whom he is said to have mistaken for someone else and riddled with bullets.
