Customs Seize Over 85,000 Illegal Pills from Spanish Travelers at Moroccan Port

An attempt to traffic 85,650 Revotril-type tablets was thwarted on Wednesday, November 27th in Tanger-Med.
Informed of the transaction, the judicial police elements operating at the port of Tanger-Med conducted investigations. This constant vigilance made it possible to confiscate these products hidden in the luggage of two Spanish women.
These two defendants were about to set foot on Moroccan soil via the Port of Tanger-Med on board a light vehicle registered in Spain, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a press release.
Pending a clear understanding of the ins and outs of this case and the arrest of all accomplices, the accused, aged 25 and 38, were placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, adds the same source.
